Joseph Gates

Joe Gates joined SS+D Financial (SSDF) in 2018 as an Associate Financial Advisor.  Joe gained invaluable experience working with the SSDF team and our clients.  The guidance from Mike Moloney, Ed Wiley and the great people of SS+D Law has shaped the advisor Joe is today.  Joe completed his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) accreditation in 2021.   

Joe graduated from Wright State University majoring in Accountancy and Finance. Prior to SSDF, Joe spent seven years in the insurance industry, most recently at Principal Financial Group (PFG). Prior to PFG, Joe worked as an auditor for American Financial Group, specializing in identifying process inefficiencies and lack of internal controls. 

In 2021, Joe and his former college roommate, Doug Meyer, purchased the shares of SSDF and have since renamed the company Meyer Gates Financial Advisors.  The foundation of our company was built by friends and family members trusting us to guide them through all their financial decisions in life. We take pride in treating each and every client as if they are a good friend or family member.
